What Is Concrete Joint Sealing?
Many people are familiar with the term “caulking.” It is possible to use the terms caulking and joint sealing interchangeably, but in the professional realm, you’ll hear “concrete joint sealing” more frequently.
Why Should you Seal your Concrete Joints?
There are two important reasons to seal your concrete joints: prevention and repair.
Concrete sealants prevent water from penetrating the subgrade below your concrete by sealing cracks and joints. Many sunken concrete issues are caused by water erosion below the concrete.
Concrete joint sealants are also used to repair cracked concrete. Flexible sealants are designed to seal the joint and move with the concrete as it expands and contracts in various temperatures.

How Does The Concrete Joint Sealing Process work?
The most common process for concrete joint sealing starts with a cleaning process that clears the joint of debris. Next, a backer rod or sand is used to fill the joint to create a ¼” to 3/8″ joint depth finally a self-leveling concrete joint sealant is applied. The self-leveling concrete joint sealant is either Cold applied Sealant or Hot applied joint sealant. Give Bescto Services a call we would be happy to tell more about the the two options and what would work best for your project.

Crack Seal
Our Crack filling service is intended to fill the crack and keep most of the water out of the pavement. When water is kept out, pavement deterioration is slowed.

Water is the most destructive element to your pavements. If it rained and snowed everywhere but on our roads and bridges, 90 percent of highway and street work would be eliminated. Since that is not likely to happen any time soon, we need to prevent water intrusion into our pavements. Filling or sealing pavement cracks to prevent water from entering the base and subbase will extend the the life of your pavement by years!
As seasonal temperature changes. Consequently, cracks and joints are expanding and contracting when the pavements move. Fillers do not expand or contract. Sealing the cracks with a flexible rubberized asphalt that bonds to the crack walls and moves with the pavement will prevent water intrusion. Crack Filling can reduce pavement deterioration by restricting water penetration into underlying base and subbase layers. This restriction helps to maintain pavement structural capacity and limits future degradation. Simply stated, sealing cracks and joints in pavements extends the service life of the surface treatment and the pavement.
This should be done every year or two on your pavement. Give us a call today!

Asphalt Repair
Asphalt Repair & Restoration Services for Nebraska and surround Areas
Asphalt is the most affordable choice for any paving project. However, asphalt needs more frequent maintenance than concrete pavement. Like all things, it will eventually erode and begin to perform poorly. Factors such as poor drainage, heavy traffic and extreme temperature all contribute to its deterioration.
For managers of commercial and industrial properties, it is important to stay aware of your pavement’s condition and keep one step ahead to ensure minimal downtime and repair costs.

Asphalt Repair Methods
Our asphalt contractors at Bestco Services use industry standard asphalt repair methods to bring your asphalt driveway and pavement back to its brand-new condition. We begin the process by resurfacing the asphalt pavement and then proceed with restoration.
Your parking lot is one of the first things your clients, tenants, or visitors will notice, and many people don’t realize that this seemingly boring asphalt area is in fact your very first impression. Keeping your parking lot maintained and in outstanding condition indicates that the property owner is responsible and concerned with consistent maintenance, code requirements, and safety for both the drivers and the pedestrians.
It’s also equally important to remember that small cracks and potholes in your asphalt can quickly become much larger problems if they are not dealt with quickly. At Bestco, we always stress the need for preventative asphalt maintenance which means the best possible service from beginning to end. Not only for the original asphalt repair project, but also the ongoing asphalt repair and maintenance that is required to ensure that what could be a simple asphalt repair doesn’t become a complete asphalt paving overhaul.
Bestco Services has the staff, equipment, and experience to perform any asphalt repair project. From simple procedures like pothole repairs or asphalt skin patching, to the more complex and involved paving procedures such as complete asphalt re-surfing.

Sealing your pavement with an industrial asphalt sealer will add many years of life to your pavement, and will enhance your curb appeal! We offer cost-effective sealcoating options for durable preservation of your asphalt. There is no greater investment you can make to increase the life of your pavement than sealcoating your asphalt.
If you’re in a commercial or industrial industry, you should stay ahead of asphalt problems to prevent the high costs of repair. Prolong the life or your asphalt and improve its appearance with professional asphalt sealcoating.
The Benefits of Asphalt Sealcoating
Since asphalt is a petroleum-based product, other petroleum products, such as vehicle oils and gasoline, may react with the surface of it to cause the pavement to soften and degrade quickly.
Sealcoating works by creating a barrier against those materials. It also protects against the sun and rain, both of which promote oxidation and can result in the formation of cracks, raveling, and potholes.
To achieve optimal longevity and the best appearance of your paved asphalt, we recommend applying a protective sealcoat every two to three years.
Trust our experienced team of local asphalt sealcoating contractors in Nebraska for top-quality work at competitive pricing.
